Demystifying Flash Photography

Join Spyros as we dive head first into the fun of photography!

Using flash always seems scary and intimidating, but with this course, Spyros will show you just how fun it can be! You will learn just how simple and exciting using flash is and how to get the results you want every time.

Topics  covered include:

• How speedlites work: Understanding all these buttons and numbers.
• TTL versus Manual Flash: How the flash and the camera work together.
• How to use flash to light a photo: You don’t just point and shoot
• Shooting with the flash on and off camera: Taking real control.
• Basic portrait lighting techniques: Get the look you’re looking for
• Night time photography: A guided field trip exploring the wonder and joy of photography at night.

Class requirements:

• An SLR Camera with a hotshoe mount and manual shooting modes
• An understanding of basic camera functions (aperture/shutter/ISO)
• A hotshoe flash for their camera.*
